BSNLEU strike the TRUTH
As
more than 70% of the staff reported for duty in most of the
circles, the strike called by BSNLEU alliance has become
unsuccessful. BSNLEU’s claim of 50% membership is also
exposed because of this strike. The 25 to 30% BSNLEU
membership did not participate in the strike by attending
office/ remained on leave. The strike failed because BSNLEU
pursued some hidden agenda other than wage revision and
promotion policy.
In Akola and Sangli only 35 and 6 employees
participated in strike respectively.
Due to poor response to their strike, members of
BSNLEU abused the women employees in vulgar language in
Kalyan and stopped the workers from entering in to work
places by locking the Exchange and CSC gates in Pune.

Settlement Reached. BWA agitation called off
The BSNL Management held
discussions with BWA leaders of NFTE (BSNL) FNTO,
Rashtiya Union and others, at 7.30 p.m today (6/9/09)
and the following settlement reached.
1. Regarding wage revision: The management
agreed to revise the IDA pay scales of the non-executive wef
1/1/2007 in the same line and fixation formula adopted for
executives without mentioning any periodicity neither
5 or 10.
2. Minimum Facilities to Registered Unions:
More seats will be allotted to BSNL Workers Alliance for the
formal meetings in such circles where they won the
verification
3. All transfer orders will be kept in abeyance
.
4.
Minutes
for formal meeting will be issued.
5.
Staff side number will be increased.
In
view of the above settlement the agitation is deferred.
